Major Race Days

Sandown Park has three iconic racedays each year, encompassing both the flat and jump seasons.

April is the month of our bet365 Ultimate Celebration, staged over two wonderful days and featuring the bet365 Gold Cup over jumps and the bet365 Classic Trial on the flat. It is the only meeting in the British racing calendar to showcase such a high-class mixed card and attracts the highest quality fields year after year.

In July we present the Coral-Eclipse Summer Festival. A two-day meeting that features Ladies Day on the Friday and the Group 1 Coral-Eclipse (part of the presigious QIPCO British Champions Series) on the Saturday, the event always attracts a highly fashionable and social crowd, with racegoers being drawn to watch and revel in the excitement of such top class racing on offer.  Saturday's feature race is the first time that the Classic generation (three-year-olds) take on the older horses and the race consistently produces a pulsating finish and a champion's victory.

The two-day Tingle Creek Christmas Festival is staged in early December.  This is a superb jumps meeting showcasing British racing's best two-mile chasers in the Saturday's feature race, the Grade 1 Sportingbet Tingle Creek Chase. A heart stopping race, it is not for the faint hearted as horses hit top speed over Sandown Park's tightly packed railway fences, iconic obstacles that demand a test of both horse and jockey.  The meeting has a fantastic supporting card of quality racing and offers all sorts of wonderful festive entertainment to keep the whole family amused and help get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
