What a fantastic day out! A very special day to celebrate a very special occasion. We were considering going to a different racecourse as we had been there many times before....but this was so much better in so many ways. Wasn't so crowded, the box was right on the finishing line, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and we didn't have to walk far for anything.

I was lucky enough to take a group of friends to celebrate my 60th birthday in the Gold Cup Reception Suite. We started our day with a warm Pimms Reception and this went down very well. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly, service was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The low point of the day was when I realised I had ripped up one of my winning tickets and had to ask someone from the Tote to help me piece it back together again! Everyone in my party seemed to have a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as a great day out!

Just to say what a great day Saturday was. It really could not have gone better. The room looked fab, as did the flowers, tables fantastic with a superb view over Sandown and even the weather was kind.
The presentation was well organized, was well attended and we had an attentive audience. Timings worked very well.
I had a great time, I thought it was terrific fun. I would do the day again, it was a superb venue and my thanks go to you and your staff for a brilliant day.

It was our daughter's 40th birthday and everything lived up to our hopes and expectations. We have been to Sandown several times before but not to one of your suites. Our treatment there helped to make the day very special......the room, the food, the wonderful staff, including the perepetetic Tote ladies. Our 3-year old god son was made very welcome by the staff and spoiled with extra treats. We were table 6 and our waiting staff were well-trained and knew how to look after us. A great day.

A reunion of 30 old school friends (with partners) most of whom you haven't seen for almost 40 years, could be seen as an occasion fraught with many pitfalls! Choosing the right kind of event that would have universal appeal, give people the chance to mingle informally, but also provide a sense of "special occasion" was a big ask.
The idea of a box at Sandown seemed a great solution and the unanimous feeling of those involved was that it was an excellent choice. Many of us had never been racing before and approached the event with some apprehension, but again, any reservations proved groundless and everyone had a marvellous time. The mysteries of betting and the whole horse racing scene were made simple with our own TV and betting window around the corner. The chance to wander at will, circulate and mix, and resurrect old frienships was perfect. Good food and drink and a sense of style and occasion that was appreciated by all. As a group we cannot recommend a day at the races in your own box more highly. We all had a marvellous time!

We enjoyed the whole evening immensely. We arrived at 1800hrs and had a glass of bucks fizz and our starter on our table by 1803hrs!! This level of service was maintained throughout which made for a great evening out. The main course was served piping hot and full of flavour. The convenience of table gambling and a perfect view of the band on stage capped a wonderful evening. Even the bouncers were polite.

From the first point of contact to the final race every single step was managed well to the overall experience surpassing everyone's expectation. Organising an event for 20 people from across Europe ensuring they all have a great experience is never easy BUT it was certainly achieved at Sandown. Providing timely information, being flexible on options, having information collated for accommodation and being able to recommend Colin Brown to support the evening entertainment - he was superb!! The quality of the food and hospitality has been second to none in recent times - (This is not a boast from me but I have experienced many VIP / Special events in recent years). Sandown will be my first choice of venues for any future event.
