RAZORLIGHT TO LIGHT UP SANDOWN PARK

RAZORLIGHT have today been confirmed as the third and final band to play at Sandown Park’s summer series of Music Nights on Wednesday 21st July 2010. The UK rock’n’roll band from London who exploded onto the music circuit in 2002 will be performing live after racing when crowds will be able to enjoy hits including the Number One chart topper “America”, along with “In The Morning” and the lead single from their third album, Slipway Fires, “Wire to Wire”.
The band, which is fronted by lead singer Johnny Borrell along with band mates, Carl Delemo, Bjorn Agren and Skully have enjoyed numerous chart hits, sales of over four million albums, played sold out arena tours and headlined festivals, and are undoubtedly one of the most maverick guitar bands to have emerged from the UK in recent years.
Nominated in 2007 for two BRIT Awards – one for ‘Best British Band’ and the other for ‘Best Song’ for their single “America” - Razorlight went on to headline at the 02 Arena in 2008 and played before The Killers’ headline slots at some of the major festivals that summer. They are now working on their fourth album which is sure to be another huge success.
