BET365 EXTENDS SPONSORSHIP OF SANDOWN PARK CELEBRATION MEETING

Sandown Park announced today bet365 has signed a three year deal to extend their sponsorship of their prestigious Gold Cup Meeting, 2012 to 2014. The sponsorship will include all races over the two days with an all flat card on the Friday and the unique and much enjoyed mixed card on the Saturday. Sandown Park has also increased prize money from this year on bet365 Gold Cup Day by 25% as they continue to invest in and improve the Jump race programme.
A new two mile handicap hurdle for four-year-olds will strengthen the Jumps card on the Saturday and will be second only to The Fred Winter Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in terms of prize-money for a 4 year old handicap at £25,000. This replaces the 2 mile conditions hurdle run in recent seasons.
