Just a few days before the Cheltenham Festival, the Paddy Power Imperial Cup is an opportunity for the very best hurdlers to prove themselves in front of a big, enthusiastic crowd.
This year it’s Sport Relief and some wild and whacky ideas are scheduled to raise money for this very worthwhile cause. Not only that but racegoers will be able to do their bit for charity as well; Sandown Park will automatically give £2 to the charity for anyone who comes racing and buys a ticket on the day wearing red socks.
You can find out if any of this year’s crop of horses might be ones to watch at The Festival by getting the experts’ view at our Cheltenham Preview Panel after the racing*. A panel of professionals from the racing world will include champion trainer Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Andy Stewart, champion jockey and sports personality of the year 2010 AP McCoy** and Paddy Power, who will be discussing the upcoming Festival races in detail and provide some insider tips.
